Pavel Černoch

As one of today's leading tenors, PAVEL ČERNOCH regularly appears on the most important opera stages, including La Scala in Milan, the Vienna State Opera, the Opéra in Paris, the Dutch National Opera, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and the Salzburg and Glyndebourne Festivals. He is an extremely versatile artist who is celebrated above all for his interpretations of the Czech and Slavic repertoire, but is also at home in French and Italian roles. Highlights of the current season include his signature role of the Prince in Rusalka in a new production at the Staatsoper Berlin, his debut at the Lyric Opera of Chicago as Laca (Jenůfa) and his return to the Opera national de Paris as Albert Gregor in The Makropulos Affair and to the Hamburg State Opera as Sergei (Lady Macbeth of Mzensk). Most recently, he took on the role of Apollo (Daphne) at the Berlin State Opera and sang the Prince at the Dutch National Opera and in Prague as well as the title role of Faust at the Hamburg State Opera.
