Simonas Strazdas

The young Lithuanian bass Simonas Strazdas completed his master's degree at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater in Vilnius in 2022. There he sang Papageno in Mozart's The Magic Flute and Gremin in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin as well as Don Alfonso in Mozart's Cosi fan tutte at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts in Helsinki.

From the 2023/24 season, Simonas Strazdas will be a member of the Vienna State Opera's opera studio. He made his debut as Amantio in Puccini's Gianni Schicchi and has previously appeared in Manon Lescaut, among others.
