Chris Jensen was born in Los Angeles and trained with Albert Ruiz. He continued his training at the School of American Ballet in New York. Engagements took him to the Geneva Ballet, Harkness Ballet New York and the Nederlands Dans Theater as well as the Basel Ballet, of which he was a member for 12 years. Following his active dancing career, Chris Jensen worked as an assistant and ballet master of Heinz Spoerli in Düsseldorf and Zurich. He restaged many of Spoerli’s ballets, including with the companies in Basel, Düsseldorf, Graz, Helsinki, Hong Kong, Berlin and Milan. With the Vienna State Ballet Chris Jensen restages Heinz Spoerli’s »Goldberg-Variationen«.
