Adam Palka

Adam Palka’s 20/21 season brings such important house debuts as the Royal Opera House Covent Garden and the Wiener Staatsoper with his reprisal of the role of Mephistopheles »Faust«. Palka makes his Canadian Opera Company debut with the role of Escamillo »Carmen«, and his Teatro Liceu Barcelona debut in the role of Gremin »Eugene Onegin«. As a soloist of the ensemble at the Staatsoper Stuttgart, in the coming seasons, Palka is set to take on the roles of Filippo II »Don Carlo«, Count Rodolfo »La Sonnambula«, Oroveso »Norma«, and Fasolt «Das Rheingold«. Palka’s past engagements include performances at Teatro Real Madrid, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Staatsoper Stuttgart as Méphistophélès in »Faust«, at the Glyndebourne Festival as ​ Don Basilio in »Il barbiere di Siviglia«, as well as engagements ​ at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf and Staatsoper Stuttgart as Alidoro »La Cenerentola«. He has performed Figaro in »Le Nozze di Figaro« at Oper Köln and at the Bolshoi Theater Moscow, role of Publio in »La Clemenza di Tito« at the Polish National Opera Warsaw, Caronte in »Orlando paladino« at Théâtre du Châtelet Paris, and Colline in »La Bohème« at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf and Staatsoper Stuttgart. On the concert platform, Palka has performed the bass soloist parts in Beethoven’s 9. Symphony with the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker and in Beethoven’s »Missa Solemnis« with the Szczecin Philharmonic.
