Attila Mokus

Attila Mokus was born in Novi Sad, Serbia. He began studying voice in his home city, going on to complete his studies in 2014 at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz. His opera début was in 2010 in Novi Sad as Giorgio Germont (»La traviata«). Other appearances by the baritone include Valentin in Charles Gounod’s »Faust«, Count Luna in Giuseppe Verdi’s »Il trovatore«, Rodrigo in »Don Carlo«, the title role in »Nabucco«, Iago in »Otello«, Sharpless in Giacomo Puccini’s »Madama Butterfly«, Marcello in »La Bohème«, Figaro in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s »Le nozze di Figaro«, Guglielmo in »Così fan tutte«, the title role in »Don Giovanni«, Herr Fluth in Otto Nicolai’s »Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor«, Peter Besenbinder in Engelbert Humperdinck’s »Hansel and Gretel«, and Count Robinson in Domenico Cimarosa’s »Il matrimonio segreto«. Among other countries Attila Mokus has appeared in Austria, Germany, Switzerland, England, Hungary and Serbia. He joins the Wiener Staatsoper ensemble on 1 September 2020.
