Australian soprano Nicole Car has established herself as one of the leading sopranos of her generation performing regularly for Opera Australia, Dallas Opera, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Deutsche Oper Berlin and Opera de Paris. Recent engagements include appearances at the Metropolitan Opera as Mimì / »La Bohème« and Fiordiligi / »Così fan tutte«, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden as Mimì, the Bayerische Staatsoper as Tatyana / »Eugene Onegin« and the Opéra de Paris as Micaëla / »Carmen«, Donna Elvira / »Don Giovanni« and her role debut as Elisabetta / »Don Carlo«. She has also made her role debut as Ellen Orford / »Peter Grimes« with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and her house debut at the Opéra de Montréal as Tatyana. She was the recipient of the 2013 Neue Stimmen Competition and the 2012 Australia Opera Awards and was nominated for Best Young Singer at the 2015 International Opera Awards. She won the Best Female Performer in an Opera category at the 2018 Helpmann Awards.
